A Day passes and another day comes, 2015

Jerusalem

(Israel museum collection)

A Day Passes and Another Day Comes is a large plaster relief

(6 × 8 m) made for a specific wall at the Israel Museum. It consists of numerous cast objects created during a ten-day pilgrimage walk from my home near Netanya to the museum (85 miles), later assembled into 16 large frames, painted white, and fixed to the wall.

At first glance, the viewer encounters a white abstraction. Gradually, details emerge and the objects are decoded, revealing a subjective mirror of Israel in 2015.
